Your Secret Recipe To The Perfect Silky Smooth Butter Chicken

Have you ever planned a get together where you wondered what's that one recipe that will win hearts and found yourself perplexed because all you could think about is biryani which is again the same usual main course recipe that every other person makes. Unlike others, I'm not a die-hard fan of briyawni or whatever whitewashed tone you use to call it. Matter of fact I don't even understand the hype. anyways biryani isn't a big deal either if you are a Hyderabadi like me. So this is where the butter chicken comes into picture.  Butter chicken is one of the latest introductions to the Indian cuisine, must be some decades old and not more. The idea initially started when someone decided to add their leftover chicken tikka from last night to a simple yet freshly prepared gravy of onions and tomatoes. Its sweet as well as tangy taste of onions and tomatoes, the burnt aroma of grilled chicken and the richness of cashews and cream. A perfect blend of all the goodne...

The Trendy Dalgona Coffee

I know I'm a bit late to share my Dalgona Coffee recipe but this quarantine had me either wasting my time with the phone all day and just when I realize I'm wasting too much time, it suddenly strikes my mind that I gotta complete my thesis and uni work.

Anywise, I thought better late than never and I settled upon trying this trendy Dalgona coffee everyone is talking about. Whenever I open my Instagram or youtube, all I see is that frothy Dalgona coffee and I can legit smell the fresh and warm aroma of it. Finally, I couldn't resist so I decided to try it out and trust me it came out perfect. The recipe I tried was for one person though I fake-promised my brother that the coffee will be shared with him, I swigged the whole glass in the last moment.

All you'll need is:

Ingredients

-Nestle Nescafe Instant coffee- 2 tsp, heaped
-Granulated sugar- 2 tsp, heaped
-Water- 2-3 tsp
-Cold/Hot milk- 1 cup

1. In a bowl add coffee, sugar, and water. Now there are 2 ways to whisk. Either use a small whisk/fork or an electric hand mixer. I prefer using a small whisk/fork because the quantity is quite less. However, if you are doubling the quantities or making in large amounts then go ahead using the electric hand mixer.

2. Whisk it for around 5-7 minutes. This is the most tiring part, but DO NOT LOSE HOPE. It took me around 8-9 minutes and when I was about to give up, that's when I saw the froth forming and thickening. The more you whisk the thicker becomes its consistency. so just WHISK-WHISK-AND-WHISK until your hands completely give out.

3. Its finally done, you need to pour yourself a hot/cold milk in a cup(i prefer hot). Fill the cup 3/4 with the milk and with a spoon scoop the froth and transfer it to your cup such that the cup is now filled till the rim.

4. Sprinkle some cocoa powder, or just sip it with a lava cake on the side.

Let me know in the comments if you have already tried the Dalgona Coffee before me.
