Your Secret Recipe To The Perfect Silky Smooth Butter Chicken

Have you ever planned a get together where you wondered what's that one recipe that will win hearts and found yourself perplexed because all you could think about is biryani which is again the same usual main course recipe that every other person makes. Unlike others, I'm not a die-hard fan of briyawni or whatever whitewashed tone you use to call it. Matter of fact I don't even understand the hype. anyways biryani isn't a big deal either if you are a Hyderabadi like me. So this is where the butter chicken comes into picture.  Butter chicken is one of the latest introductions to the Indian cuisine, must be some decades old and not more. The idea initially started when someone decided to add their leftover chicken tikka from last night to a simple yet freshly prepared gravy of onions and tomatoes. DIY Hair Conditioner

Curry leaf tree is an aromatic medicinal plant widely grown in the Indian sub-continent and wildly grown in the vast regions of Sri Lanka. Curry leaves are used primarily as flavoring and garnishing in Indian curries and cuisines. The leaves are packed with vitamin C, phosphorus, iron, calcium and nicotinic acid. Due to their profound health benefits, these are used by the ayurvedic practitioners and herbalists. For centuries, curry leaves have been tested for hair growth and nutrition. Including this recherche ingredient in your daily diet will help you achieve strong, thick and lustrous locks of hair.

Aloe vera is another medicinal and an ornamental plant filled with abundant health benefits, especially for hair and skin. Check out my previous blogposts  DIY Body Scrub To Lighten Dark Skin (inner thighs and underarms) & DIY Aloe Vera Hair Mask to know about aloe vera and its glorious benefits.

Since curry leaves are not widely consumed in several regions I have brought to you this simple hair conditioner remedy for external application combining the two integrants incredible for hair health. You'll need

- 2 freshly harvested aloe vera leaves (the thicker part at the stem is most beneficial)

- a cup of curry leaves
- a cup of filtered mineral water

In a saucepan, boil 1 cup of water and while the water is boiling, put the washed curry leaves and cover it with the lid. Reduce the flame and let it simmer on low heat for 20-25 mins until you see the water change its color. Meanwhile, wash the Aloe leaves thoroughly and cut the prickly sides with a knife. Dice the leaf and extract the gel. Grind the slabs of gel in a blender until no gel lumps are found. Combine the curry leaves infusion and the gel in a bottle.

This can be stored in the refrigerator for a month (unless there's no drop of extra water added other than the infusion).

Direction to use: After shampooing, rinse your hair with this conditioner. Massage in the scalp and bunch up your hair. After 5 mins, wash it off and blow-dry.
